元素 Financial presented their 2nd Annual 目的 Day, where 180 credit union employees gave back to the community through meaningful projects and experiences.
元素 Financial, their six Indiana branches and a handful of remote employees used Columbus Day as an opportunity to press pause on daily operations and serve the less fortunate. Staff gathered at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the building carrying their very own name, the 元素 Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion.
Last year was 元素’ inaugural 目的 Day, 然而, this year the company already chose to expand the event by adding two additional partner organizations. There was a total of six local nonprofits represented at the event. This day of service was crafted by their Human 资源 and Marketing teams with the goal of employees bonding, serving nonprofits in a creative way, and equipping employees with a new perspective of issues facing the local community. Aside from service projects, employees participated in poverty stimulations conducted by the United Way.

The event committee organized stations and employees arrived at the 元素 Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion.

元素 employees worked on the following projects:
- 创建 65 fleece twist-tie blankets for the cancer patients served by Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
- 组装 250 hygiene kits for the homeless served by Horizon House.
- 使 400 花生酱 & jelly sandwiches for the Salvation Army.
- 放在一起 8 bikes and weaved sleeping mats out of plastic shopping bags to donate to the homeless youth of Outreach, 公司.
- 有组织的 100 art kits that are gifted to local youth in area hospitals by the Emma’s Art Kits initiative.
- 组装 200 welcome kits for BOSMA, while blindfolded, and folded 700 睡眠面具.
- Participated in heart healthy games presented by the American Heart Association

元素 employees wrapped up their service projects and departed from the 元素 Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion to tour various organizations that they spent the day serving: Outreach 公司., Little Red Door, BOSMA and Horizon House.
At each organization, staff delivered a surprise $1,250 donation and heard about future volunteer opportunities. It is important that 元素 employees are exposed to these opportunities so that they can utilize their additional 8 hours of volunteer paid-time-off this year.
